[Corasol] 10-17.04.2015, Berlin: call for a long-term protest with performance, workshops, discussins and concert

Call for participation

In order to resist the upcoming restriction of residence law in this
country that will be decided in the Bundestag on 8th of May,
we’re calling for a long-term protest daily 2 pm to 7 pm between the
10th and the 17th of April at Brandenburger Tor/Pariser Platz.

We’d love to organise for a cultural and political program that helps
to make the protest more visible. If you want to make a contribution,
please contact us!

We’re lancing this call but the action is for everyone to make out of it what we can and want, so let’s cooperate to live up the place and make the week of action against residence restriction colourful and a space for organizing and learning! It would be really great to have different performances, workshops, discussions and concerts throughout the protest week.

Please get in touch and hope to see you there,

[Alliance Come_Together] 10th – 17th April 2015, Berlin: daily demonstration against stricter asylum law

Stop the impending aggravation of the asylum laws!

Daily Demonstration 10th till 17th of April 2015 Pariser Platz 2-7pm

After the extension of the list contained within the so-called “regulation of safe countries of origin” in autumn 2014, another aggravation of the residence act is being planned now, which has the potential to transform nearly every asylum seeker into a criminal. While Pegida is holding racist demonstrations, the parliament nearly fulfils some of there demands with this upcoming law.

In future, deportations shall be carried out harder and more consequently. Criteria for imprisonment are extremely extended. Additionally, the possibilities of imposing entry- and residence-bans are to be widened. Especially „tolerated“ people and refugees subject to the Dublin-procedure are facing these extensive repressions.

We oppose the law draft, slated to be implemented in June 2015.
Through this daily demonstration we want to make this subject more visible! The tigtening of the law calls for more than an usual demonstration. By means of daily presence, workshops, cultural programm and information for pedestrians we want to reveal that this law will make life for refugees even worse than it already is!

For our action to be succesful we need you!

While we await any attempt to force us into imprisonment as we excise civil disobedience against Apartheid “Residenzpflicht”, we shall embark on a Tour all over Germany to damask the repressive policies against Refugees in Germany.

The Tour will serve as a platform for exchange amongst Refugees with a critical view to the 2015 deceptive Asylum “relief” in comprehensive relation to the horrific Asylum “Compromise” of 1993 up to the hypocritical decision of the German Federal Constitutional Court in 2012.

In this tour, refugees will be informed about the “Adverse faces of Germany” enforced through arbitrary powers at different levels, the system of Refugee Isolation and control, the continuous exploitation of Refugees here and beyond the borders of Europe. Their propaganda is built on the grounds of ignorance of a “civilized” society and at the expense of Refugee’s human dignity.

Now is the time to mobilize Refugee’s solidarity and empower networking within our communities through the intimate understanding that we all face the same problems – even though the situations might appear to be different.

Our experiences have confirmed that nothing good can be expected from Imperialist States like Germany except by direct confrontation and scandal.

As your responsibility to support the revolution of the oppressed you should mobilize refugees and organize discussion events in your region. Announce your dates so as to enable us plan our schedule. We will be glad to join you for exchange.

16.03.15: Strausberg/Garzau – Brandenburg: Demonstration in Lager against Isolation and Islamophobia: « We cannot live with somebody who hate us! «

Around 60 people living in Garzau Refugee Lager in Brandenburg occupied this morning the stairs of the building demonstrating against the direction of the Heim.

Asking to the responsible authorities the dismissal of the Heimleiter they find themselves negotiating with the police. In addition to isolation and daily harassements, the last provocation came with this article published on thursday on the Märkische-Oderland Zeitung

The visit to the Lager of the Linke Social Minister turned itself in a display of islamophobic stereotypes, where somebody reading Koran to his children should be  regarded as a possible terrorist.

Refugee activists living in Garzau Lager, as they have no internet there, asked to me to publish these short news.

„No lager for Women! Abolish all Lagers!”

Demonstration and Protest-action in front of the state parliament

(Please check for details on our web blog: or call us: 0176-32920586)

As we celebrate the International Women’s Day 2015 let us look closely on how the state of Brandenburg government as well as the Germany Federal government is treating us:

For the last couple of years we have been asking them again and again to give at least women and children the opportunity to move out from the lagers. Nevertheless, what we are seeing is money being allocated to local authorities to upgrade existing isolated lagers and more lagers being added to the already existing ones.

We dont see any changes in our living conditions: the asylum seekers are still only allocated 6 square meters per person. Still we are often marginalized with housing in remote areas and are therefore more exposed to racist attacks. Still the possibilities to live in private apartments like everybody else are rarely given to us.

And with a change of construction law, the construction of camps in industrial areas is now allowed.

Refugee women suffer the most from that. Because usually the women are the ones who feel responsible to organize everyday life for the whole family under such inhumane living conditions.

That is why we are renewing our call
“No Lager for Women!” “Abolish all Lagers!”

• We demand from the federal government: Step back from your backward policies of the 90s which try to keep refugees from entering Germany or force them to leave again!

• We demand from the state authorities: Give directives to the districts to accommodate refugees in flats – first of all for women and children!

• We demand from the local authorities: Integrate refugees in your districts by giving them the choice to live in flats wherever they want!

To all refugee women:
Let us together demand a humane life for all!

To all women‘s organizations, feminist organizations, all anti-racist and human rights organizations:
Support us and our demands! come numerous and together with asylum seekers from your neighborhood!

[come_together]: Thursday 05.03.2015 15h, Berlin: Demonstration against stricter asylum law

Stop the impending tightening of the Right to Stay!

Thursday 5th of March 2015 3pm

Brandenburger Tor (Platz des 18. März)

On the 6th of March 2015, the first reading of the draft of the awkwardly titled law: « for the redefinition of the right of residence and the termination of residence » will take place in the German parliament. Despite its title, this law doesn’t have much to do with the right of residence. Especially « tolerated » people and refugees subject to the Dublin-procedure are facing extensive state repression, for example

  • Imprisonment
  • Re-Entrance Bans
  • Prohibition of work.

While Pegida is holding racist demonstrations nationwide, the parliament nearly fulfils some of there demands with this upcoming law.

Refugees are Criminalized
All refugees with a supposedly « risk to flee » can be imprisoned. That concerns all refugees subject to the Dublin-procedure; Every refugee, who entered without visa; Everyone, who owns faked or no identity documents; And those who don’t help to clarify their identity. However, for many refugees an unclear identity is there only protection against deportation.

Entrance ban for the Schengen area
An additional repression instrument is the proposed extension of entrance bans for the Schengen area. The entrance ban is to apply to anyone who

  • who didn’t leave the country by the set departure deadline — meaning all « tolerated » people
  • who « has entered Germany in order to draw public benefits ».

This includes refugees subject to the Dublin-procedure and everyone who has been accepted as beeing eligible to protection in another European country. Also people whose reasons for asylum are not believed, are banned from reentering. Whole states are declared as being « safe » and it is often assumed that refugees don’t have « real » reasons for fleeing. In this cases there asylum claims are rejected as « obviously unfounded ».

Works ban
Especially for those whose asylum claims are considered as « obviously unfounded » the daily life is being complicated even further. Besides already existing laws like the duty to live in a « camp » and the Asylum seekers benefits law, they are imposed with a general work ban.

Political activity ban for rejected asylum seekers?
Political commitment by refugees is indirectly put on a same level as « criminal » acts. Both can be used as reasons for an expulsion. As a consequence this could mean a political activity ban for rejected asylum seekers.
In conclusion, it can be assumed that with this law all future refugees in Germany can be locked away. It can be further be assumed that the number of deportations will increase. The fundamental right for asylum and the right for a « fair » access to an asylum procedure is further more abolished. Starting with their entrance to Germany refugees are being criminalized. There is not the slitest chance for a « fair » procedure. The de facto ban for refugees to be politically active is an attack on all politically active people in Germany and the freedom of speech in general. Especially the formulation that in case of « risk to flee » refugees can be imprisoned, takes the whole law ad absurdum. Talking about « risk to flee » when it comes to refugees can only be seen as utter mockery put into the so called law on Residence.

We call on everyone to stand up against these unjust and racist law!

No tightening of asylum law! For humane asylum policies!

No more work prohibitions, entrance bans, or pre-deportation detention. Remove these and all other similar instruments from the arsenal of deportation mechanisms!

For a right of residency for those who have been classified as ,tolerated’ over a period of years! This must apply to everyone, without exceptions!

Freedom of movement is everybodys right!
